YS Sharmila meets Telangana Governor, requests imposition of President’s rule in Telangana
YSR Telangana Party chief YS Sharmila on Saturday met with the Telangana Governor and requested that President’s Rule be imposed in the state after she and her party members were attacked by BRS workers.
YSR Telangana Party chief YS Sharmila on Saturday met Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan and requested the imposition of President’s rule in the state.
She also addressed a letter to the Governor today, wherein she stated, “I, YS Sharmila of YSR Telangana Party want to bring to your kind notice, the deplorable situation prevailing in Telangana where the questioning voices are bullied, threatened, muzzled, and mauled by the BRS regime. This KCR-led government is a fascist administration and there is no rule of law left in the state.”
the BRS goons attacked us during the padayatra, ransacked our camp setup, destroyed our material, verbally and physically assaulted us, and even threatened me with dire consequences,” she wrote in the letter.
She also alleged that the ruling party is sponsoring murderous attacks on opposition party leaders and activists.
“Three days ago, a young leader was brutally attacked by these hooligans and grievously injured in Warangal. I immediately went to see the young man who is receiving treatment in Hyderabad, as I can connect with this incident and wanted to extend my support to the victim,” she said.
On Wednesday, YS Sharmila paid a visit to Congress youth wing leader Thota Pawan, who was being treated in a private hospital in Hyderabad following an alleged assault by Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) workers. Pawan sustained injuries in the attack, which was carried out in the Warangal district on Tuesday.
Sharmila inquired with the doctors about his health conditions and extended moral support to his family. She termed this a dastardly act and dubbed BRS leaders as worse than “beasts.”
“Congress party youth leader Thota Pawan, who is undergoing treatment in Secunderabad Apollo, was visited today. We strongly condemn the attack by BRS goons on Pawan. KCR, who says that he wants to protect democracy in the country, should first teach democratic lessons to the ranks of that party,” Sharmila tweeted.
“The indiscriminate attack on Congress youth leader Thota Pawan was a brutal act. Are BRS leaders human? like animals, doctors say it will take six months for Pawan to recover. That mother’s curse will hit KCR. If the administration does not have the guts to fulfil the promises, the opposition questions,” she added.
