BJP workers went to stop Umar Farooqui’s show. It is alleged that the police took the bjp workers to the police station and beaten.

Hyderabad Hindu organizations and BJP MLA Raja Singh had threatened to beat Munawar Faruqui and set ablaze the stage if he performs any show in Hyderabad and so as the Police has put all BJP and Hindutva leaders under house arrest. While the BJP is again opposing Faruqui for insulting Hindu deities, the ruling TS party has directed the police to take strict action against those who tried to stop the show. Police also thrashed the party’ workers and few got discharged after treatment at a government hospital. Tension spread across Gachibowli, Madhapur, Narsingi police stations due to unrest.
With BJP leaders follow up, police released the arrested party workers after midnight.

Senior BJP leader Ramachandra Rao contacted all the police stations and asked them to release the party members immediately.
