ED summons Kavita, daughter of Telangana CM, to be questioned on March 9

Delhi Excise Policy case: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) party MLC Kavitha, 44, has been asked to appear before the ED on March 9.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned Kavitha, daughter of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, in connection with a money laundering case related to the Delhi Excise Policy. Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) party MLC Kavitha, 44, has been asked to appear before the ED on March 9. The main reason for questioning is said to be confronting Kavitha with Hyderabad-based businessman Arun Ramachandra Pillai.
Arun Ramachandra Pillai, the alleged frontman of the ‘South Group’, was arrested by the ED on Monday.
According to the Enforcement Directorate (ED), Ramachandra Pillai is the frontman of the ‘South Group’. K Kavita and others were associated with this group. Before the ED’s summons, Kavita had said that she would be in Delhi on March 10 for a day-long hunger strike at Jantar Mantar demanding the introduction of the Women’s Reservation Bill in the upcoming session of Parliament. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has already questioned the BRS leader in this matter.

K Kavita is one of the representatives of the South Group. Who is accused of giving a bribe of Rs 100 crore to the leaders of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). This South group was represented by Abhishek Boinapalli, Arun Pillai and Buchi Babu. It is alleged that Boinapalli, in collusion and conspiracy with Nair and his associate Dinesh Arora, transferred a bribe of Rs 100 crore. Delhi Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was also questioned in this matter.
Both the ED and the CBI have alleged that bribery from the “South Cartel” lobby led to irregularities in the revision of the liquor policy. The South cartel allegedly included K Kavivat, Maganuntha Srinivasalu Reddy, a YSRCP MP from Andhra Pradesh.
