Right-wing activist Hamara Prasad was arrested for using derogatory words against Dr. BR Ambedkar

A Telangana man was arrested for using derogatory words against Dr BR Ambedkar. The man, identified as Hamara Prasad, had recorded a video in which he could be heard making provocative remarks against Dr BR Ambedkar.
“I would have killed Ambedkar like how Godse shot Gandhi,” Hamara Prasad can be heard saying as he holds up a book written by Dr BR Ambedkar.
The video stoked a controversy with RS Praveen Kumar, Telangana chief of the Bahujan Samaj Party, demanding action against Hamara Prasad for his provocative comments.
The Hyderabad Police on Friday arrested Hamara Prasad and booked him under Sections 153 A and 505 (2) of the Indian Penal Code.
“Today. cyber crime police station, Hyderabad City arrested Hamara prasad, registered FIR 256/2023 U/S 153A,505(2) IPC on abusing Dr BR Ambedkar and forwarding videos through social media platforms,” the police said.
