CBI raids Manish Sisodia Delhi Deputy CM among 15 accused named in CBI FIR over alleged excise scam
CBI Raids Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia Live Updates, Delhi News Live: AAP govt’s liquor policy was a scam, hence they revoked it, says BJP’s Manoj Tiwari
New Delhi 19 Aug ( BNITimes) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has listed 15 accused, including Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, in its FIR on alleged excise scam. The central agency on Friday searched 21 locations, including the residence of Sisodia, in connection with its probe into alleged irregularities in the Delhi Excise Policy.
Speaking with the media on the raids, BJP MLA Manoj Tiwari said had the logic behind their liquor policy been strong enough, Sisodia and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal would have faced any central agency probe confidently. “Because it (liquor policy) was a scam… they revoked it,” he added.
In his first reaction to the raids, Sisodia, in-charge of the department, said the central agency was “welcome” to do so. “We welcome CBI. Will give full cooperation in the investigation so that the truth can come out soon. Till now, many cases have been filed against me, but nothing has come out. Nothing will come out of it either. My work for good education in the country cannot be stopped,” Sisodia said. “It is very unfortunate that those who do good work in our country are harassed like this. That is why our country has not yet become No 1.”
