Woman commits suicide by pouring petrol on herself in shahinayathgunj police station Hyderabad

Hyd Aug 13 (BNITimes) On Friday, a 22-year-old Dalit woman jimmedaar bazar resident, three months pregnant, Mansa informed the Excise Department about the sale of deshi liquor (Shendi) by brother-in-law Yusuf. Due to which the angry brother-in-law beat up the woman fiercely, the woman went to the Shahinayathganj police station with a complaint of assault, but the police refused to take the complaint and on the contrary sent her back after threatening her. Angered by this, the woman came to the police station with a bottle of petrol from a nearby petrol pump and set herself on fire in front of the police. Due to which the woman suffered severe burns, she was admitted to Osmania Hospital. Where the woman died at 3 in the morning, the role of the police in this whole incident is also considered suspicious because the woman’s complaint was not taken cognizance of. The police tried to suppress the matter, but as soon as the media came to know that the police was giving different statements, it was said many times that the woman had poured kerosene from the house and had come to the police station. It was then told that the woman had consumed alcohol. With these different statements, the police were also seen trying to save themselves.
